I've been stuggling for this for days. I'm new to both apache web
server administration and subdomain administration. I thought that
since the subdomain is just part of the directory structure, it should
be treated just like any other file in the domain but it's getting
'special treatment'.

The directory permissions to this subdomain are 755, the file
permissions for the index.php file of this subdomain are 644. Is there
something in the httpd.conf file or some other file that would cause
this error message.

If anyone has any links that discuss setting up subdomains or
configuration issues with them, I'd certainly appreciate you posting
them.
