I have Window2000 Professional installation. I tried to change the IIS Web
server connection number from 10 to 100 and it pop up a window said "The
connection number is hard code to 10 and can't change".

Can someone can explain why a hard code value of connection number in
Window2000 Professional version?

Thanks~

It's an artificial licensing restriction imposed by Microsoft. Windows
2000 Pro is considered by them to be a client product. For more
connections you have to buy a server product. Or use Apache.
