| I'm currently running apache with my root directory set to another
computer on my lan. The reason is that I create my pages and php scripts
on this other computer and it saves me the trouble of constantly having
to upload to the host system. In order to do this with apache, I had to
go into my windows services settings and change log on settings for the
apache service to a specific account, as opposed to the default system
account which doesn't seem to have network access (if it does I haven't
figured out how to get that to work with apache).
I also ran IIS for a short time, and although IIS also seems to log in
to this system account, there is also a setting in IIS to log on to a
remote computer.
My question is does any of this stuff pose a security problem, that
might benefit a hacker, or can I continue to do it this way without any
worries?
