I have no hair left to tear out now. There is an ASP application in a
password protected directory. When the ADODB object attempts to connect
to the database I get

DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or
access denied.

If I remove the password protection it has no problem establishing the
connection. The uid and password are set correctly then. When password
protection is on I get no audit logon failure on the SQL server. So I'm
assuming that when password protection is on it can't locate the
server. Whats the deal with this. Can anyone offer me some assistence
as to why this is happening.

Thanks
