Hello

Ijust have bought acer2021 lcd screen to discover
that my matrox G550 cannot do 1600*1200.
What minimal characteristics should have a card to support this resolution
and of cource linux compatible? I mean memeory size, 128bit or what there is
else...?
The model would be appreciated

Sure it can. Look here:
http://www.matrox.com/mga/products/...o/mill_g550.cfm

You probably need to set up your XFree86 or Xorg config file
under /etc/X11/ to enable 1600*1200.
