What's the best HDTV tuner for Linux beside Windows?

| Hello, what's the best HDTV tuner brand and model to get for Linux
beside Windows (2000 and XP)? And are they available from local retail
stores like Fry's Electronics, Best Buy, CompUSA, etc.?

Have a look at
http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
If you can compile your own kernel read the documentation
inside the source tree. If you run the latest kernel you
might have a wider choice.
