Author Which Laptop for Ubuntu?

Hi All,
Two years ago I started using Ubuntu on my HP Celeron pavilion za5700 512MB
laptop.
Ubuntu is fantastic, but maybe my computer is a "carretta",
It's all slow...too much slow.
For this reason I decided to change my laptop and am looking for a quick,
silent and most of all Ubuntu compatible one.
Can you suggest me some sample model please?
Many thanks for the support.

Best,
Nic

Nic;

Although I recently purchased a new Compaq to run Kubuntu, I'm having quite
a bit of difficulty with some of the components.

However, from my reading and feedback from associates, most laptops
with "centrino" somewhere on their labels seem to work best. This would
limit your search to Intel chipsets.

Hope this helps...

Bob
