Hello all. I am a Microsoft/Cisco geek and a newbie to linux. I have
no problem Installing Redhat/SuSe/Mandrake obviously. I can't grasp
the concept of installing software, compiling and all that good stuff.

All I want to do is Install SNORT on my Suse box. I've got the latest
release and I downloaded the latest Snort and ACTUALLY was able to
uncompress the sucker (kudos for me, took a week). I know all of you
have been here at this point at some time in your lives. PLEASE HELP.
What can I read to be proficient with this OS. Where can I learn how
to install SNORT.
