[squid-users] Antivirus

| Hi!
I'm using SQUID in a corporate company, Antivirus is a priority!
Antivirus for e-mail, file servers etc... is 100% okay.
The only hole now is HTTP...viruses can come in with http and i want
them to stop ON the server...whitch is a SQUID server.
I'm using squid now for 3 years and it's really a top product but as i
say, i really would like antivirus support.
Regards,
Philippe.

Then you will have to provide it as it comes not standard with SQUID.
However many people use antivirus servers/products successfully =
chained
with SQUID.
Probably good pointers can be found at :

Type :

we use the viruswall from trendmicro on linux and are happy with it.
It supports trickle (useful for slow connection to the clients).
Have a look at:

I do not get viruses because I do not use MS software.
If you use Outlook then please do not put my email address in your
address-book so that WHEN you get a virus it won't use my address in the
=46rom field.

Dear Dieter,
How do you configure trendmicro with squid, is it like proxy cascading ? =
Is it possible to install both squid and trendmicro on the same server. =
Currently we are using e-Trust with squid installed on the same server, =
though the real time monitoring of e-Trust already enabled, to my =
astonishment our user still can easily download virus from internet =
(www.eicar.org).

herman
