Hi all,

since I don't really think that my postfix should be running on the same machine as my router/firewall/proxy, I wanted to operate postfix from a machine inside my LAN. Identical config as the existing postfix, but somehow connecting to my providers MTA does not work.

Since I have postfix also running at home behind a firewall, I'm pretty shure, that squid is the culprit. Unfortunately I've next to no experience with squid. Why would it work great as transparent proxy, as it does, but block my mail? Been reading myself silly these last few weeks, but can't seem to find a solution.

I'd be happy about ANY pointers at all!
