hai,

i need to configure squid so that i can provide internet access only
to authenticated windows NTLM users.

i have configured samba on my redhat linux box, joined linuxbox to
my windows "xxxx.com" domain, using "net rpc join". checked the
connectivity between linux box and domain controller using the
"wbinfo" command, succesfully able to authenicate NTLM users using
wbinfo -a.

configured IE 6.0 on windows client which is on "yyyy.com" domain to
use the squid proxy, it is prompting for the username and password and
after 3 failed login attempts i see "CACHE ACCESS DENIED"

so can any one suggest me what might have gone wrong in the above
procedure, we are in a testing environment where our users want
authentication to be done by squid.

thanks in advance
