| hi,
yes - it's exactly what I did: +rw. The idea with the "long" deletion
is good, I just tried to format it with a fast mode. Ok, so once again
...
I also tried Michael's proposal - updating the firmware. Michael: it
is conformant to Gear.
My last test was to take a +r after updating really everything (my hp
200i and di7). The result was different: it succeeded in writing 2
dvd's (I needed about 9 Gb for backing up my drive), everything looked
fine. As I tried to read it, I got an error ea39070a - "image file not
valid or corrupted" with my 1st disk. The 2nd looked ok - di could
read it, asked me for the 1st and then came up whith the message
above. I also tried to read it on a different drive. Not a good idea.
Resulted in a blue screen...
Looks like I'm running out of ideas - and out of dvd's ...
I'll check your suggestion, than we'll see.
Thanks again to Michael and you for your support
Heinz
