Hi all,

I have a problem with Veritas Backup Exec 8.60 Rev 3808 for SBS 2000, in
combo with a Sony SDT-9000 4 MM DAT drive and 12/24 Gb DAT tapes.

The backup seems to run fine, until the Verify is about to start, the backup
stops, the tape is ejected and BE keeps asking for the tape it just ran the
backup on. The amount of data is way below the native limit of the tape and
the backup logs show nothing out of the ordinary.

Anyone had this prob and know what could be done about it ?

How much data is written to the tape?
The promised 24G (with compression) is IME overly optimistic.
Slightly more (14-17) than 12GB on a tape with 12GB native is normal.
