I have Veritas Backup Exec 9.0 and my tape drive is a Sony SDX-S300C. I
cannot find where you tell the backup software to use compression?

We've got the same problem with BackupExec 9 and a Sony AIT3. After we
changed the windows-driver and run the veritas-assistant for devices
again the compression works.
