Hello,

we use HP OpenView Data Protector 5.1.

We want to backup the filesystems of some servers and the Exchange
2000 database on the same media (with Ex2000 extension). The media
pool should be "not appendable", daily fullbackup, and one media per
day.

Along the admin guide (and the NTIntegration-Docu) this backups are
possible only in two sessions. But if the media are "not appendable"
each session needs a new media (i.e. two for a day). (If the media are
"appendable" there are backups of more than one day on a media.)

The backup process should works unattended for a week at least (with a
library).

Anybody who can help? Is there a possibility to change the
"appendable" status after the second session (perhaps per post-exec
command)? Is it possible to format/erase the current media shortly
before the backup begins (per pre-exec command)?

Thanks
Klaus
