I read a post on here a while back about splitting image
files into 4.5gb chunks and keeping them on your hard
drive. Just a quick question regarding that - I have
Partition Magic 7.0, but I haven't had cause to use it
for a long time as I prefer only having one partition.
If I were to partition my main C drive (running Windows
XP Professional) into a C and D drive, would I still be
able to make an image of my C drive on it and access it
through Windows for burning with Nero?

Thanks very much, and please excuse my appalling lack of
knowledge!

Drive Image 2002 and DVD do not go hand in hand with eachother, meaning that
Drive Image 2002 does not support DVD, does not support image chunks larger
than 2 GB...
Better option is to upgrade to Drive Image 7.0x...On NTFS formatted
partitions you can setup the application to create 4.3 (!) GB image files
that can be transferred to DVD later (In UDF format)

What about question #2: PartitionMagic 7.0(1) has never been tested on XP
systems *with* SP1.
Either upgrade to PartitionMagic 8.0 or start PartitionMagic 7.0 from the
rescue disks (on XP systems WITH SP1).
And YES you can still create and burn an image of C after splitting (is that
your intention?...bit vague), but once again:
CD-R(W) with Drive Image 2002
CD-R(W)/DVD-/+R(W) with Drive Image 7.0x
