True Image and FireWire Disk

| I just tried out True Image 7 and had trouble with imaging on an external
drive via firewire. I got an error message, saying something about a bad
medium or so. Imaging via USB works fine.
Accodring to their webpage, True Image should be able to write on a firewire
connected drive.
Does someone has similar experiences?
Thanks

Which FireWire level? 400/800 or even 1600 Mb/s?

the enclosure is supporting 800, my pc 400. So, I guess 400 is the actual
speed. I tried a different software (Drive Image) and got no problems with
that.
