Is there a backup similar to Seagate Backup Exec (but with CD burner
output)?
It has to have a "compare the backup byte-for-byte" function for
both the backup and restore runs.

Seagate Backup exec is now Sonic Backup MyPC, and it supports CD & DVD
writers. You can get it online from www.orlogix.com and www.sonic.com
