Is this newsgroup solely for Windows users or are backup matters also
discussed for other systems - e.g. Linux?

Your best bet is to look at the newsgroup title and decide
from that. For instance, the title of this group doesn't say
anything about O/S restrictions.

Then send your message and wait until someone complains.

In the long run, you will have much better results.

Thank you, Jack. It was the fact that none of the 15 postings I had seen
even mentioned the O/S they were using that puzzled me, and made me wonder
if it was a 1-O/S newsgroup...
