I'm currently setting up amanda under Gentoo to work with an ADIC Scalar 448
and two Quantum7000 DLT drives.
I've done the copnfiguration, afaik, but ran into a big problem now:
When I try to add tapes (label them), amlabel throws a strange error
message, as if the device was wrong (which it isn't). Error message below,
any help appreciated!

lg, michi

$ /usr/sbin/amlabel 3Day 3DaySet01
labeling tape in slot 1 (/dev/scsi/host1/bus0/target2/lun0/mtn ):
rewinding
amlabel: tape_rewind: tape open: /dev/scsi/host1/bus0/target2/lun0/mtn : No
such file or directory
