| Greetings;
I have a corrupt bkf (ms backup) file in XP Pro. I'm able to read the file
with BKFrecovery 2.0 demo but can't recover the file unless I purchase the
software at $299.00 (ouch!). Pretty steep for one time use but
understandable. If I had the money I'd give it to them.
Does anyone know of a freeware utility similar to BKFrecovery 2.0 ? It would
be greatly appreciated if you could point me in the right direction ... ;^]
thanks

| Yes - Thanks. I've tried demos of most of them but the only utility's demo
that could read my file was BKFrecovery 2.0. But I'm not sure that because
it showed the files that they would be recovered. I finally gave up. Wipped
the drives and started over. Lost a lot of stuff ...;^[

If you still have the backup you could try
Microsoft Backup (.BKF) File Repair and Recovery Service
$300AUD or $220 USD
http://www.payam.com.au/microsoft-b...up-recovery.htm
or similar professional data recovery service. For one time use it is
cheaper than BKFrecovery.

| Curious George,
I have used BKFRecovery to (successfully) recover my corrupt BKF file
before. Thanks for the info on this thread.
