We have been restoring a complete backup with Dataprotector (configuration and complete disk content) with great difficulty. The backup had been made from an HP Proliant G3 and we restored it onto an almost identical HP Proliant G4. The first restore at
tempts resulted in servers which would not start up anymore. After a few restore attempts, suddenly, a simple restore worked fine.
We want to prevent these difficulties in the future.
What are the steps we must follow to prevent such a time-consuming restore operation?

Thanks in advance!

Mark
