Disk Images and Restores to S-ATA Raid and IDE Raid

My two newly rebuilt machines on Windows XP are using Raid controller
hardware on the motherboards. Is this the same as card based IDE raid
controllers?

Will an imaged drive (say with Ghost 10.0) be restorable through these
controllers? I know that files restore OK, but never had to restore an
entire image in an IDE or S-ATA based raid array.
