Did those of you who have tried this utility have any problems with it? I
seem to be having no problems creating backups but have not attempted a
restore operation. Is it reliable? The reports show zero backup errors.

I run XP Home and in the event of a crash intended to use the recovery CD
that came with the purchased system, then use the NTbackup file from a
second separate internal drive to bring the system up to date. I don't have
a DVD recorder so can't make a copy of the backup file to a DVD for safety.
I'm hoping both HDs will not crash at the same time. I also make a backup
of the registry with Erunt when I make a backup as a safety measure.

Anyone see any problems with this plan?

TIA

I've done this same thing okay. (except for the extra reg bu)
You should be fine, NTBackup is nice because you don't need to
shutdown like Ghost.

I just did a restore using Acronis True Image and it ran beautifully.
With it you can make a boot cd and run the restore immediately without
reloading windows first. You can make a boot floppy and do this with
NTBackup also.
