Hello
I've a little question on Veritas backup Exec.
This Software CAN only make backup on DLT or it can do Backup on hard disk.
I actually use Windows backup to make a single backup file on Hdd but with Veritas i cannot do this.

To which version of Veritas Backup Exec are you referring?

The old version was replaced by Nackup <yPC, which can backup to a hard
drive.

For a file-based backup, you are better off using Retrospect, see
http://www.dantz.com/.

That should be "Backup MyPC".

Yes you can make Backups to a HDD.

If you are using a NAS or a HDD in another Server or Workstation then
you can:

Go to the Devices section of Backup Exec, then create a Backup-To-Disk
folder.

This then appears as a device to backup to in the list of Drives in the
Backup Job

Cheers
