| Hello
We use ARCserve BrightStore 11.0 on Windows 2003 Server as
Backupsoftware.
We do backup lots of redhat Linux servers via arcserve backup agent
for Linux.
Does somebody exist who has the same scenrio as we have?
My problem:
Backup speed from Linux agent to ARCserve Server (Windows 2003) is:
1000 MB/min
That's fine but
Restore speed from ARCserve Server (Windows 2003) to Linux agent is
just:
100 MB/min
That's not fine at all...
Does somebody exist who has the same problem???
Or does somebody exist who has a solution about this???
Thanx for everybodys help

We have a very similar problem. We run Arcserve 9 server software on Netware 6 server platform and backup SuSE Linux Ent Ed v8 (and v9) servers using Arcserve backup agent for Linux v9.
We do get approx 700MB on an SDLT drive attached to a Netware 6 server while backing up a Linux server using the Arcserve agent for Linux.
BUT, we only achieve approx 80MB while restoring from an SDLT drive (attached to Netware 6 server) to a Linux server.
We have no speed problems while backing up or restoring Netware servers either directly or using the Arcserve agent for Netware.
All servers are HP Proliant 380 G3, SDLT drive is HP too.
This problem appears to be non platform-specific. It may be an Arcserve Linux agent setup / configuration issue or a bug in the Linux agent software?
Thanks for any help.
