Just bought a La Cie 160 GB external USB 2.0 drive. Want to use it to
back up a desktop and laptop. Desktop is FAT32 and laptop NTFS. I
partitioned the La Cie into 4 logical drives (think that is the term),
all NTFS.

question:

Can I back up from FAT32 to NTFS and then, if i have to, move data back
to FAT32?

If no, can I format one logical drive of the 4 as FAT32 and use it for
the desktop?

And on a different topic: what is the difference between "backup" and
mirror? Is a backup of an entire drive the same as mirroring it?

Thanks in advance mates
