| I sent this to Acronis, but I'll ask you folks too...
I'm considering True Image for my PC backup.
I run with
- 1 40G internal drive with Win2k SP4 / RH 9.0 Linux,
with XOSL (http://www.ranish.com/part/xosl.htm)
as boot manager
- 1 120G raid array
- 1 40G Usb external drive
Because of Win2k/Linux/XOSL all my boot partitions
are used.
I want to backup internal drive to the 40G Usb drive.
I want to backup "some" data from the 120G array
to the 40G usb drive. Can TI v8.0 support this?

| TI backups up partitions and drives -- not selected files per se
You can image all the partitions on drive or some of the partitions -- I
only have machines with NTFS and FAT32 partitions and have not problems
not sure how well it works with othe types of partition formats, but expect
it would do fine
other product are better for scanning files for backups and updates
I now only do images with TI -- much easier that the file based tool and you
can mount images like drive letter to extract files
I'm very happy with True Image -- save my but on 2 occasions so far
