Help me please, PowerQuest V2i Boot CD?
|
|
|
| Hi,
I have a copy V2i Protector 2.00 Desktop Edition that is load on a used
computer I just purchased. I would like restore the original image file.
Apparently you need to boot up from the original software CD to restore the
image, which I didn't get along with all the other program CD's he gave me.
I called the guy I purchased the computer from and he said he had lost CD.
I am new to burning cd's and I have never made a XP bootable CD before. I do
have Nero burning software my question is can I create a bootable CD with
PQRE on it, so that I can restore the original image file? If it can be done
can please tell how to do it?
I searched on the internet and found this article but can't really
understand how to make a boot disk.
>However, be advised that Drive Image 7 can only be used with Win XP and Win
>2000. You'll also need the >boot CD (PQRE) that comes in >the retail

>Protector Desktop Edition. I've tested this procedure out and the resulting

Here is what I try so far using Nero software,
....First, start up Nero Express and select Disc image or saved project.
....Then, select Image Files (*.nrg, *.iso, *.cue) and locate the Boot CD ISO
file on your hard disk.
That's it I don't know what the name or where to find the above files? I did
a search on my hardrive and can't find any of these files (*.nrg, *.iso,
*.cue)
What files should there be on the boot disk like once it's created? I know
Drive Image 2002 have boot disks booting into WIn dos and restoring from
there.
Sure would appreciate any help you might be able to provide me.
Thanks!
