I've just setup Dantz on an XP system that has Norton 2005 installed on it.

Dantz pops up a sharing violation on a log file related
to NPROTECT.

What does NPROTECT do and is there a workkaround for the Dantz/Norton
combination.

here is a link to nprotect http://www.auditmypc.com/process/nprotect.asp

Google is wonderful by the way.

I am using Norton 2005 and danzt retrospect pro. 6.5 , and have never had a
conflict. Not sure if this is because I upgraded to the pro version from the
version that came with my Maxtor onetouch.

Go to options>norton utilities>norton protection tab>and from there you can
untick enable protection.

Interesting info at this link about removing it using hijack this
