Hello,

I run VERITAS 10 with access to a Linux server - on this one the client
Ralus makes the server visible to the Windows backup-server. I use a user
named after the windows-administrator and having the same password. This
user has userid 0 like the root, to ensure access.

However this is not what I am having. When backup'ing. I am not getting all
the data to tape. I have arround 10 gb in backup, but 35 gb should have been
backed up.

If not the User-id, what will then give me access. The "history" of backup
tells me that it is in fact 'administrator' that is logon user. Therefor I
do not understand that it will not take all the data to tape.

Me option may be copying the hole structure to another partition and there
changing rights on files and folders, making sure that I am actually getting
out the data, but this is an unconvinient solution to this problem.

Who knowws about this

Regards

Per
