Author Is there back-up software that updates at windows CLOSE-DOWN?

Seems to me that a major flaw in every backup program I've read about
is the scheduling. Sure you can always manually backup before closing
windows, but it would seem to me that a program that does its thing
automatically at windows close-down would be a real gem.

Scheduling "daily" does not prevent the possible loss of data because
you may have a crash BEFORE the time for back up arrives. The only
alternative is schedule back up every minute or so as some programs
can do. But this would mean slowing down the system.

See what I mean?

Thanks

See AJC Active Backup, this instantly archives any file you change on your
PC. Multiple versions of each file are kept in a compact archive giving
unlimited undo capabilities and protection from costly mistakes or file
corruption. This avoids reaching for last night's backup, if there is one.

Read more at:
http://www.ajcsoft.com/AJCActBk.php

It has a built-in capability to compare each change you have made to a file
so you can see what has been done and when. Any historical version of a
file can be extracted by simply right clicking on a file or accessing it
from a convenient popup list of recent files changed. Comments can also be
entered against each revision so you can record important information about
what state the file was in at that point in time.

AJC Active Backup brings revision control to the average computer user or
user who is too busy to worry about doing backups. It is completely
automatic and requires no regular attention once the initial setup wizard
has been filled in. It operates in the background via a subtle indicator in
the Windows status bar with hardly any noticeable change to the computer's
performance.

The backup archives created are very compact because compression is used and
only the changes to each file are stored each time a new revision is added.
An automatic purge feature is included to stop the archives from growing too
large.

Whether you are a software developer, documenter or web designer etc, AJC
Active Backup is an important safety net for any PC user who values their
work. Even if you have a centralized revision control system and do regular
backups AJC Active Backup is of great value because it backs up every time
you save a file without you having to think about it. Your archive is
always up to date, whereas your other backups may be hours or days out of
date.

I already have syncback on my computer which I use to compare and
update my bazzilion mp3 files between my harddrive and external
storage drive. But syncback does not have the scheduling feature I
need. I just use it as needed when I've done some work on my music
files.

SmartSync Pro at:

http://www.smsync.com/

backups on windows shut down. I have successfully used this feature to
backup the audio files I create. Yes, it is hard for me to remember to
backup after putting intense energy into an editing and production project.
SmartSync Pro without fuss updates existing files and transfers the new ones
automatically. check it out.
