Test Backup Floods Server - WTF

| Hi all
Came back into the office this morning to find that Veritas has run a backup
job.
Nothing strange there, except the job was not submitted by anyone and the
destination for the job was the sever itself.
So Veritas runs a job, creates a folder on the server called Test Backup and
effectively backs the server (and other machines) onto itself. This process
continues until the data partition on the server is full!
So we arrive to start the day's normal file use and get error messages like
"Insufficient space, delete some files".
Is this a virus affecting Veritas?
Has this been heard of before?
The only thing that was different was the fact that, being a Bank Holiday on
the night in question, there would be a scheduled major backup, but no tape
in the drive.
Anyone shed any light on this please?

| Perhaps V backs up to hard drive if you forget to insert tape ?. Check the
configuration and scheduling of V. And of course you`ll end up with
`insufficient space` if the Drive fills up. best wishes..J
