I have a strange problem using Backup MyPC ver 6.0. I started out with 4.2,
then 5.0 which all worked fine. When I upgraded to 6.0, here's what happens.
After the software has determined all the files it needs to back up, when
it's done, it causes my system to reboot, and I'm out of the software.

I have nothing running in the background, and have taken everything out of
my system tray including virus checkers, spyware checkers, firewall, and so
on. Nothing is left there. Same problem.

I wrote their tech support. I received a generic answer (what a surprise)
which didn't help the problem.

Is there anyone out there who uses the software, has experienced the same
problem, and has solved it? Thanks!

Bob

Hi Bob...

I have the same problem. I disabled "Back up busy system files" in the
Options/Advanced section, and was able to get a good backup.

I too wrote something to Stompsoft but have yet to hear back. As time
permits, I'll shut down as many background services as I can, and then
re-check "Back up Busy System Files" to see where the failure lies.

Never had this problem with the last version...Ah, progress!

Regards,
Jim
