NTbackup not cleaning up MDBDATA

Our backup was not correctly being run and we have three years worth of log files (30 gig) in our MDBDATA folder.
We backed up the server and it purged some of the log files but there is still 21 gig of log data in the MDBDATA folder.
How can I clean this up?
