The two most popular image backup programs are Ghost 9
(www.symantec.com) and True Image from http://www.acronis.com/

I know Ghost 9 can/will create an image directly to DVD. I'm not sure
about True Image. I thought I read that it requires you to backup to
a different partition or hard drive and then use some other program to
burn that to DVD. (I could easily be wrong on this point).
