I am using Ghost 2003. I have a floppy boot disk which works fine. I
cannot figure how to make a bootable CD/R or DVD disk that I might be
able to boot from rather than a floppy. Any help appreciated> Thanks.

Simon get a copy of WinISO. Then under the menu item 'Bootable CD'
select Get from floppy disk and put in the floppy that you want to
use.

I had the same problems with newer computers in our company using
Ghost 2K3. I copied the contents from the floppy to a folder on the
hard drive. Keeping the floppy in, I made an ISO with the contents in
the folder and use the floppy to make it bootable. It worked for me.

When I started my backup it used the CDrom as 'A' drive and even
copied the boot info to my restore image AND allow me to use the same
drive as my CD-R drive. Sweet.

I tried making a bootable CD from a Ghost 2003 floppy and it didn't work for
me, but then I wasn't just trying to access the CD drive; I wanted to be
able to access my external HDD. ( My workaround is posted elsewher on this
NG).

The easy part is done. On the Ghost floppy are the drivers for USB
devices. If the disk works for you then the burnt CD will work (if you
use WinISO and do like I said). It's almost fool proof. Almost!

If you want to skip the restore process, just modify the AUTOEXEC.BAT
contents:

mscdex.exe /D:<driver name> /L:<drive letter>
ghost -clone,mode=load,src=<location of image file>,dst=<disk
number> -sure -fx

into

mscdex.exe /D:<driver name> /L:<drive letter>
ghost

If you want to skip the restore process, just modify the AUTOEXEC.BAT
contents (based on the http://tinyurl.com/accxx document):

mscdex.exe /D:<driver name> /L:<drive letter>
ghost -clone,mode=load,src=<location of image file>,dst=<disk
number> -sure -fx

into

mscdex.exe /D:<driver name> /L:<drive letter>
