I am using ntbackup on a 2000 server to a NAS box running the cutdown
2003 server.

I get the following error/warnings in the log.

Snip..........

Warning: The file \WINNT\Temp\VxsvcError.log.tmp in use - skipped.
Warning: The file \WINNT\Temp\hsperfdata_SYSTEM\804 in use - skipped.
Warning: The file \WINNT\Temp\hsperfdata_SYSTEM\816 in use - skipped.
Backup completed on 10/08/2005 at 20:37.
Directories: 1125
Files: 18088
Skipped: 34
Bytes: 3,781,881,804
Time: 16 minutes and 12 seconds

Verify Status
Operation: Verify After Backup
Active backup destination: File
Active backup destination: \\gruesome\share\netbackup\mutley\mutley
_C.bkf

Error: An inconsistency was encountered in the requested backup file.

I understand the warnings but I can't get to the bottom of the Error
message. Can anyone please help?

The backup created can be read and individual files restored.

The command line I am using is:

ntbackup backup "@c:\backups\daily_C.bks" /j "Mutley C FSB" /f
\\gruesome\share\netbackup\mutley\mutley
_C.bkf /l:s /m normal /hc:on /v:yes

Cheers

Peter
