| Hi,
I've spent over a week testing about a dozen backup applications with
only marginal success. Some of the products that did work only worked
well when I tested them on my XP machine (but never worked on the W2K
Advanced Server).
I need help. Below is the criteria (maybe I'm really asking for too
much):
1) Be small (be around 30-50 MB)
2) Backs up even when I'm logged off
3) Backs up to DVD-RWs
4) Doesn't require packet writing software
5) Doesn't eject the DVD (unattended backup)
6) Backs up open files.
Here are the products I tried without success:
Retrospect, Backup MyPC, GRBack Pro, Genie Backup Manager Pro, Nova
Backup Server Edition, NTI backup Now, Simply Safe Backup 2005, and
few others.
I'm not too hopeful in finding anything that will fit the criteria
I've mentioned above, but here's to trying.
