Have you considered Relative Rev Backup from http://www.datamills.com.
Seems to be fast, goes to a hard drive and once you have made the
initial full back up the incrementals are quick. On my home set up only
running about 24.1 gig, and they only take about 3 min. Total storage
used so far on the backup drive is only 29 gig. It is not backing up
open files, but once a week it is also backing up system state, on top
of the hourly backups from 7 AM until midnight.

Properties of "New Pack (002)" backup pack

Total number of revisions saved: 27
Date of oldest revision saved: 8/14/2005 18:00

Last backup original space [MB]: 21,965.23
Last backup actual space consumption [MB]: 254.57
Space released during last process [MB]: 9.59

Total number of files for last backup: 64,403
Number of files changed since previous backup: 101
Number of files with error for last backup: 30
Size of files with error for last backup [MB]: 539.3

The other thing is that they are in Israel so as long as you don't
e-mail them between Friday night and Saturday night you get a response
back usually in less than an hour 6 days a week.

If you contact them, and you should tell them you read about it here.
Their server edition is on sale for US$ 399.00.
