Anyone who uses a computer learns pretty quick that reloading software is a way of life. Files get corrupted or the registry gets damaged and you find yourself doing a clean install. Unfortunately, what used to take the time it took to watch a movie can now stretch into an all day process.

I read through these forums before asking this but I did not see anything close to this question so here goes.

I do video editing and have a dual boot configuration of Win XP on my computer. One partition is for day to day tasks while the other is reserved for video. I am using System Commander to handle the dual boot function.

I have looked over a lot of the Backup Software documentation but have not seen this issue directly addressed.

So the question is can anyone recommend a Back up utility that can store my entire drives image on a set of DVD’s?

I need something that will copy the MBR as well as the file structure on the two bootable partitions and restore it back to its original state. Obviously the first DVD would need to be bootable as I would only need this when the operating system is totally corrupted and unbootable.

I had a registry corruption last week and spent 10 hrs ( that is not an exaggeration) reloading software and reorganizing my computer.

Years ago I could reload everything in the time it took to watch the The Great Escape which was my usual reloading software movie. Now it stretches well beyond anything endurable.

So can anyone offer any suggestions on backing up a dual boot setup?
