Is norton 10 any good?

| I was about to purchase Norton 10 when I noticed a bunch
of bad reviews on Newegg. I've used previous versions of
Ghost. The big problem I had with it was the poor support
for USB drives and the fact that I had to take a system
down to back it up.
Is Norton 10 worth buying or should I just stick with
Acronis True Image?

| Buy True Image. Norton's products suck since they were bought out by
Symantec.

I bought Norton Save and Restore and found out it was a big
mistake. You are right, it sucks. I then bought True Image
it's much better.

NEVER Would use an online backup, too much of a security risk.

Absolutely, there is no way I would send a copy of my hard drive
with personal information on it to someone across the inernet.
Speed is another issue, even with a cable modem it would take
days to backup my system.

Who would want to infest their computer with Norton anyway?

I think the original poster meant Ghost v10.
"Until one day a company named Symantec made Norton." ???
(Peter) Norton existed before Symantec.
I was a Norton's Utilities user from the DOS days.
Back then, there was really not much else that could do the things it
could do.
"7. Norton is over hyped and over-priced."
Over-hyped, maybe.
But most of the Symantec software I purchase is free after rebates.
AV 2006, AV 2007 (look around), SystemWorks, Save and Restore, Ghost,
etc.
(Check for deals at Fry's, Staples, OfficeDepot, etc.)
Has anyone seen a newer version of ANY software consume less resources
than the previous version(s)?
