Author Retrospect Express won't load

Anybody else have this problem? Using for backup tp Maxtor USB One-Touch
from WinXP. Ceased to work about 3 weeks ago. Have since had hard drive
failure and replaced - fresh install of XP and Retrospect - un and reinstall
of Retrspect - no joy. Found one person with almost exact same hardware and
same problem but he never found a solution.
