I'm running Acronis 10 Home version on Windows X64. Until recently, I was
able to do a full system backup. A few weeks ago it stopped working, and now
the system either reboots or locks up when I try this.

What's interesting is the I _can_ make a full backup of the boot drive. They
system has 3 hard drives - 2 SATA and 1 IDE. When I try to do a full backup
it, Acronis starts with the IDE drive and crashes. But if I only do a full
backup of the boot drive (one of the SATA drive), it works fine. As a
result - I've been doing a "my computer" (to use Acronis's termonology)
backup of the boot drive, and then a "My Data" back up of the whole system,
figuring that I can restore the boot capabilites with the first backup and
then restore the rest of the system with the second.

Needless to say - this adds a lot of time to the process. I thought there
might be a probelm with the partition info on the first IDE drive (after
all - the backup worked fine for several weeks) so I pulled all the date off
of it, and reparitioned and reformatted. No change.

While I'm on the topic - I'm running Acronis on a Windows XP x64 system.
It's installed as a 32 bit program - anyone else using this setup? Is there
not a 64 bit version of the program? (I htought it had to be a native 64 bit
program to work, but I'm probably wrong.)

Any advice would be appreciated -

MCC
