| This could actually work for any backup software, right now our systems
just rotates a set of about 10 tapes. What I would like todo is lable
actuall Tape with the day of the week. Should I create a backup Job
for each day of the week and assocate each tape with the day. That way
if we take out one of the tapes for month end the Job would lable the
new tape the correct day.
I hope this makes sense if anybody could help thanks if more
information is needed let me know

If your 3rd sentence is a question then the answer is Yes.

| Thanks for the reply basically what I want to-do is be able to look at
my backup log and if I have to do a restore to be able to look at the
log and pick what day I need of a particular week. IE if I need
something from last Monday It would be Monday1. But what happens is at
the end of the month the Worker that helps with the backups she just
takes the tape out of the rotation and I don't want to have to sit
down and recreate the tape name I just want the system to put the name
on the tape for me. But from what I know it will only do the label for
one thing not pick the day of the week and put that on i need to set a
backup job for each day
Monday 1
Tuesday 1
Wednesday 1
Thursday 1
Friday 1
Saturday 1
Sunday 1
Monday 2
Tuesday 2
Wednesday 2
Thursday 2
Friday 2
Saturday 2
Sunday 2
This way no matter when the tape is taken out of the rotation the job
will just put the appropret lable on it
