backup software for my parents?

| I'm trying to get my parents to backup to an external drive.
They are not very sophisticated users and need software
that is simple to use for backup and also, hopefully, to
restore a file if need be.
I myself use Dantz Retrospect Professional but it is
extremely non-intuitive and the interface is downright
confusing. Therefore, it wouldn't work for them.
What backup software is easy to use, while still providing
the capability of restoring a file. And, is there one that
would allow restoring a file from different dates (like
Retrospect's snapshots)?

That used to be true, I think there is a new version out now with some
enhancements.

| Take a look at DoubleSafety (http://www.doublesafety.com/). There are
an extremly easy-to-use interface. So, I am sure, your parents will
have no troubles with it. And, certainly, DoubleSafety allow you to
restore only the files you select from backup archive.
