Hi all,
i'm looking for a software backup who can save file's version.
eg. file xxxxx.doc modify in the last 4 days -> backup will create 4
versions of this file, the last with the correct filename, the others
renamed with a suffix xxxxx_1.doc _2.doc etc, or similar.

anyone can help me, please?

Thanks,

Lisa

Hi Lisa,
A couple of options come to mind......what have you looked at so far? -
What are you using for backup now?

Look for Replicator, a great backup program that will keep generations.

Although downright confusing to configure, the Pro version
of Dantz Retrospect will keep "snapshots". This enables you
to retrieve a file from the date of any of the snapshots.

I back up every night to a 160 gig external drive. I can go
back 3 or 4 months and choose the snapshot I would like to
restore from.

As I said, this program has a very poor user interface but
once you get it figured out, it's excellent. It saves me
regularly :-)

I recommend you to try DoubleSafety (http://www.doublesafety.com/),
because you will set up program quickly due to this intuitive interface
and superb features.
