I know that using LiveState for doing backups for SQL isn't the best
idea; however, it has been working (no errors show up in the logs,
everything continues running smoothly, etc). My question is it possible
to restore just a single database back to an otherwise functional
system? Theoretically it should be possible to replace physical files
within MS SQL directory which had become corrupted, but I don't deal in
theory. Has anyone tried this? If not, I'll try doing a restore onto
one of my backup servers and then restoring a single database from a
different point in time and post my results back.
