| I have a few (some possibly dumb) questions for anyone familiar
with this system..
1. I am using BounceBack 7.0 with a CMS Velocity drive. Upon
installation I made a "System backup" then did another backup
selecting the "create bootable disk" option. This new backup
overwrote the whole drive but still shows up as "System backup"..
I assume it is now bootable though even as there is nothing
indicating this in the drive description (?)
2. I made a subsequent backup using the "verify" option which as I
understand it adds only new or modified files. Is the drive
still bootable or is it only bootable if I do a full system backup
again selecting the "create bootable disk" option (which overwrites
the entire drive)?
3. The manual says purging files on the backup drive that have
been deleted from the source drive is "good practice", but when
the purge option is selected the software warns that it is
a "dangerous operation." There's no mention of this or specific
reasons why it might be dangerous in the manual. Is it a bad idea?
I suppose I could do a complete bootable backup every time and
rewrite the whole drive but needless to say that's rather
time-consuming.
4. There are some additional folders that appear on the backup
drive that aren't on the source (I can't remember the names at
the moment but one of them says "system" something-or-other).
I'm guessing these are files used or somehow needed by the
software to function with the drive(?)
Thanks
