Installing Maxtor back up drive questions...?

| Do you install it with PC ON or not? If you install it while system is ON,
do you connect to the USB ports on the PC first, then the Maxtor? Does any
of this matter? As you can see, I've never connected any USB peripherals
before. TIA...

You mean plug it in !.
Yes you can plug in after you`ve switched on.
you will have to partition and Format the drive if it is new.
If you wish to Disconnect the drive, Always use the
`Safely remove hardware icon` that resides in the taskbar.
